The first step to qualify your child for financial assistance at MCHS or St. Mary’s Grade School is completing the FACTS FORM by March 15. This is a required form for all students. This form is available at either Marion Catholic or St. Mary Grade School. This form is used to determine financial assistance from the Diocese of Columbus. After the amount of Diocesan assistance is determined, additional tuition assistance at the local school level is available to qualifying students. This has to be completed by March 15 each year and timeliness is important.
Tuition Assistance is given that averages $10,000.00 per year by St. Mary’s. The parent has to fill out the FACTS FORM first. Initially the family may get help from the Diocese. St. Mary’s received $1,900.00 this year from the Diocese toward tuition assistance.
The Father Furey Fund dispenses funds for both St. Mary’s and Marion Catholic. The interest received on the fund determines the amount that is available. This applies to both Catholic and non-Catholic students as well.
The Tuition Reduction Program that is available to St. Mary’s was able to reduce tuiton by $50.00 this year per student through a tuition reduction program. This is available to Catholic students only and the amount of reduction is dependent upon the amount that is received through the church designated for tuition assistance.
Ed Choice Scholarships are available to attend St. Mary Grade School, grades K-6. The following students are eligible to apply for a 2012-2013 Ed Choice Scholarship:

We are enthusiastic that we don’t deny any student the chance for a Catholic Education at St. Mary’s due to finances. A quality St. Mary’s education is accessible to any child as financial assistance is available to all qualified families.
